In under an hour’s drive, you can be in Rennes’ half timbered medieval heart, mesmerised by Nantes’ wonderful mechanical elephant and other Jules Vernesque creatures in their amazing new carousel, lazing on the golden sands of Pornichet and La baule, sampling the wines of the muscadet vineyards around Ancenis and Nantes and much much more….
