Great to be back home

A good start to 2013 all in all, can’t think of a better place to be than in Loire Atlantique. Even on the dreariest day there something to do. The weather hasn’t been conducive to long country or canal walks as the rain has left us up to our ears in mud, but there’s always a day out in the city to fall back on. Lees meer

Very lazy Christmas in Loire Atlantique

An old friend revisited
Apart from it being so nice having friends stay with us, it also gives us an excuse (as if we really needed one) to revisit places with them. One such firm favourite is the Loheac car Museum which was having a 2 day event for all car enthusiasts. Lees meer

Guemene & Guenouvry events
Guenouvry held their annual Fete du Battage on the 16 September, this village is just a few minutes drive from us and plays host to a tribute to farming skills of days done by. The village is closed off to traffic and Lees meer

Wonderful day in Nantes
Every year at the end of August, beginning of September Nantes plays host to a fantastic music festival and we always try to go. We didn’t manage it last year but made up for it in 2012, the event is held along the river Erdre which flows into the Loire in Nantes and is on for 4 days at various places along the river.
