Wij willen Teresa en Ian bedanken voor hun zeer vriendelijke gastvrijheid. La Glycine is een prachtig huis met alle voorzieningen die we konden wensen en een prachtig uitzicht op de tuin en dat maakte onze vakantie van twee weken meest plezierige.
Dit was onze eerste vakantie met onze 19 maanden oude dochter en Teresa gingen uit haar manier om zowel binnen als buiten speelgoed voor Ophelia bieden om te spelen met, die haar gehouden en ons zeer gelukkig.
We zijn erin geslaagd Nantes zien en de ongelooflijke mechanische olifant, de historische steden van Châteaubriant, Rennes en Vannes en de zeer interessante architectuur zij te bieden. We kregen om te ontspannen op het meer en de stranden van Plesse Fegreac en de stranden aan de kust van St Marc bezoek en La Baule, zien plus vele andere plaatsen inclusief veel van de markten.
Dus dank aan Teresa en Ian voor het maken van onze vakantie zoals een onvergetelijke ervaring en we hopen binnenkort terug.

Onze eerste keer in een Huis en niet halen wij goed! Mijn vrouw en ik verbleven in La Glycine waarin alles wat je nodig had en nog veel meer. Set in prachtige tuinen, De gites bevinden zich in een rustig gelegen maar toch dicht bij de lokale dorp en gemakkelijk te bereiken van de grote steden in de omgeving.
Net zo belangrijk en niet minder indrukwekkend was het warme welkom we hebben ontvangen van Teresa. Ze heeft ons geholpen met bezienswaardigheden en mits aan de lokale kennis die we nodig hadden. Ik heb niet de genoemde “belangrijkste man” Ian als hij was uit golfen in Engeland de meeste van de week, maar hij was er met Teresa om ons een warm send off. Zoals u kunt raden, I highly recommend gaan Teresa en Ian een bezoek. U zult niet teleurgesteld worden.
Veel dank aan jullie beiden voor het maken van onze vakantie zo onvergetelijk en we hopen te komen en je ziet weer.

Wat kan men zeggen over een retraite dat is een thuis weg van huis voor 3 maanden? We zijn uitgegroeid naar deze plaats liefde en een opslagplaats van herinneringen hebben aan de rest van ons leven laatst. We kwamen hier met het oog op het leven onder het Franse volk en te dien einde moeten we zeggen dat, hoewel we niet de Franse 'manier van leven' nog steeds en nog steeds begrijp een beetje gefrustreerd met oneven beurstijd, Wij hebben geconstateerd dat veel Fransen hebben goede hart.
Het huisje heeft ons met alles wat we nodig heeft. Het is een toevluchtsoord als we te ver zijn gereisd, een plek om te recupereren. Wij zijn in staat geweest om onze kinderen en kleinkinderen te entertainen in een veilige en rustige haven. Elk van hen heeft de benodigde recuperatieve bevoegdheden van deze peacful omgeving aan minister aan hun lichaam en ziel.
Ian en Teresa hebben om de leefbaarheid hebben we nodig en de cottage heeft geweven zijn magie op ons allen. Wildlife vol met koeien, egels, eekhoorns en vele vogels houden ons goed vermaakt. De tuin heeft ons vele uren rustig genot. Onze kleindochter hield van bloemen plukken in haar speciale mand en vervolgens zetten ze in een vaas voor ons plezier. Ze hield van haar boven kamer met alle feeën zittend op haar vensterbank elke nacht; we hebben ze niet zien, maar ze heeft ons verzekerd waren er 10 -12 elke nacht - waarom zouden wij twijfelen?
We moeten gewoon hopen dat andere gezinnen krijgen zo veel plezier van 'Coeur de Chêne zoals we hebben. We voelen ons een beetje egoïstisch dat we hebben kunnen genieten zo lang.

Marg en ik en onze vrienden Grant en Wendy bleven in La Glycine voor een week mei 2009.We heb,t quite know what to expect as we had never stayed in a Gite on our regular trips to France.The Gites of Terese and Ian were so much more than we ever expected.It was the highlite of our eight week trip to europe.Our hosts could not do enough for us and the Gite was so well equiped.The location was ideal for us as everything we wanted to see and do was in easy reach for day trips.We will all certainly return again and wish Terese and Ian every success with the Gites.

Ons tweede bezoek aan de vier sleutels was zo heerlijk als de eerste. We verbleven in het onlangs gerenoveerde Le Camelia, die mooi was en had al de rustieke charme van La Glycine dat we verbleven in het afgelopen jaar.
Onze twee jaar oud maar hield van het huis en de tuin. Teresa en Ian gingen uit van hun manier om dit heel bijzonder te maken voor haar met veel outdoor uitrusting en een doos vol oud speelgoed in relevante.
We bezochten het moeten zien pittoreske stadjes Rochefort en Terre, Josselin en Malestroit en ook genoten van de markt in Vannes. Een reis naar La Boule mits idyllische stranden en een verscheidenheid aan uitstekend restaurant voor de lunch in. Van La Boule het is zeker de moeite waard reizen op de weg naar Le Croisic, een kleine haven met een aantal mooie flansen straten.
De vier sleutels, Guemene Penfao is een prachtig deel van Frankrijk en zeker een bezoek waard. Voor ons is het een prachtige plaats met mooie herinneringen.
Teresa & Ian – wat kunnen we zeggen, maar ‘fantastique '. Een mooie ruimte, een ‘thuis ver van huis '. De instelling is mooi en de rivier en de visserij zijn groot. We hebben ook genoten met een tafeltennistafel kampioenschap elke avond. Het wild is een genot om te zien, veel ijsvogels en slangen in de rivier, coypu en vele gevarieerde rupsen dat de kinderen gehouden geamuseerd. We hebben ook genoten van de ‘bat lopen’ langs de baan en uit de schuur. Je echt van alles wat we nodig hebben die de vakantie gedaan. Herinneringen en foto's om terug te kijken op en zien we je volgend jaar.

Zittend in voorkant van de houtkachel met een glas vin rouge – heerlijk! Fabulous ter plaatse, vredige en rustige, dicht bij de vele fascinerende steden. We hebben een geweldige tijd en je hebt gemaakt met ons voel me erg welkom. Dan Jones
We hebben echt ons verblijf hier enjoued – het is een geweldige centrale uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen. De gite is prachtig en warm weven in deze vriestemperaturen. Flo heeft liefgehad haar verblijf hier en ons zeer triest om het verlaten van de roze pluizige konijn achter! Hartelijk dank. We hadden een geweldige week met zon! We loved de tafel voetbal en boksen en fietsen naar de bakker. Dank u voor de lening van uw fietsen en het mooie huis. We raden sterk aan het kanoën op de rivier de Don. Machine Ille was indrukwekkend in Nantes voor de kinderen en de Baule en lange zandstrand Was. Wij wensen hadden we tijd om een aantal pony senderisme te doen had.
Nogmaals bedankt voor een briljante week en zeer vriendelijke gastheer – Ian.

We hebben de week hield in het voorjaar in Frankrijk. Na de winter in Nieuw-Zeeland, Het was geweldig om te zien bloeien tulpen en. Wat een geweldige fiets naar de molen te zien op Juset – reden we langs de Don. Dank u voor onze geweldig verblijf en vakantie.

Dank je wel Teresa & Ian voor het helpen om dit zo'n heerlijke vakantie te maken. De zeer minuten liep ik voor het eerst via de voordeur Ik wist dat we waren gekomen op een de mooiste & ontspannende plek. Dank u voor uw gastvrijheid, hulpvaardigheid & veel informatie. We vonden de gite meest comfortabele en vond geen enkel probleem waardoor het ons huis voor de week. Simon onze drie jaar oude, in weerwil van onbehagen voor een paar dagen, hadden een geweldige tijd het verkennen van je prachtige tuin en het spelen met al het speelgoed zowel binnen als buiten. Dit is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van de vele mooie plaatsen lokale, en ook al hadden we nooit ergens gegaan, Het was gewoon de hemel om tijd te besteden hier in de buurt. De koele avonden in het bijzonder waren heerlijk voor buiten zitten met de vin rouge & gewoon luisteren naar de vogels en krekels en genieten van de heerlijke geur van de kamperfoelie (Chèvrefeuille) wafting ons voorbij.
De gite was alles wat we nodig kunnen hebben en we wisten dat moeten we iets anders nodig, Het was slechts een kwestie van bellen aan beide Teresa of Ian. De bedden en linnen waren zeer comfortabel, iets wat soms moeilijk te vinden. Ik stel me niet uit welke tijd van het jaar zou men hier te blijven – zomer of winter, een prachtige tijd zou worden had.
Dus bedankt alvast eens te meer aan u beiden, we zeker weer terug. Het was het eerste wat we zeiden beiden het moment dat we hier hebben. Wij wensen u veel succes met geluk en goede gezondheid altijd op de plaats waar u moet gelukkig genieten & trots naar huis te bellen.

Teresa and I have been friends for more than thirty years but we hadn’t seen each other since she’d moved to France, so I thought it was about time we got together again! We had a lovely week at Coeur de Chene, which we thought was well equipped, comfortable and met all our needs as a family of four, including two teenagers, who made particular use of the television! We loved lounging in the garden, barbecuing with a glass of wine in one hand and a good book in the other, watching the birds or just soaking up the sun. We made several trips further afield to Vitre, Vannes and even just beyond Tours to visit a couple of chateaux and found pleasant, good value restaurants in most places although one has to bear in mind that lunch in France is served strictly between twelve noon and two p.m., which is a bit restricting. Never the less, we had a great time and are sure that many visitors to the cottage in future will too.
Fantasic all round! Lovely location, all the family have had a great time. Thank you for your service and hospitality.

We write this at the end of a really delightful holiday. Everyone enjoyed their holiday including ‘Sophie’ the canine member of our group. The gite was wonderful and everything was so well prepared and thought out to ensure a relaxing stay in a superb location. Nothing was too much trouble for Teresa & Ian, their hospitality really helped to make our holiday enjoyable. We are really thankful for all their kindness during out stay. I am sure we will return soon.

We anticipated it was going to be a great holiday, but we didn’t realise it was going to be this brilliant! The weather was beautiful, the gite spectacular and the jams and chutneys simply magnifique! Our highlights were the medeaval festical in Dinan, the outdoor pool at Plessé, the market and shopping in Redon and your personal favourite Teresa, the elephant at Nantes! Thank you for creating a very welcoming gite, very comfortable and lacking nothing. The home grown tomatoes were very good too – better that mine growing (or not) in England. It’s a shame the sun didn’t shine all the time, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Best recommendation is the new ‘Terra Botanica’ near Angers – great for all ages. Thanks very much for all you have done for us, which includes keeping Freya in toys etc. Weather was good and we enjoyed canoeing and horse riding near Plessé in the Forest du Gavre was excellent. We met some lovely families whilst we were here and Teresa & Ian were so friendly and helpful. The gite was so pretty and well kitted out. We loved the gite very much with all its attention to detail. It was very homely and we loved coming back in the evenings – especially the garden.

I would like to say that I had one of the nicest holiday, thanks to the wonderful hospitality of Ian and Teresa. They made our stay at Guémémé-Penfao and surrounding areas extremely pleasent, they were very helpful in every respect and they made us feel as one of the family. It was like going home for your holidays. The gites were comfortable, clean and well equiped. Nothing was lacking. This was our first stay in France and it have been our best holidays so far! First impression counts – we saw the flowers, the garden and the typical brittany house, and then Teresa and Ian, and we were sure we would enjoy our time here – and so it was
It’s the frequent possibilities of leisure activities why I recommend this region for holidays.
And it’s the kindness of the people, and their neverending will to help why I can especially recommend Teresa and Ian’s gites.

“We have had a very pleasant stay, the location is ideal as there are many varied places and activities within one hours drive. Our gite, La Glycine, we found very comfortable, fully equipped, lacking nothing and with some pleasant details like an interesting photo album of the original conversion, well done Ian & Teresa – all done in about one year, impressed…. With a southerly aspect, the patio was great and amongst many features in the garden is a challenging pentanque terrain.

This is our 5th gite holiday and not only is it the best equipped gite (so much is provided from DVDs to kitchenfoil) but it’s the most comfy bed we’ve had! The area is fantastic for cycling, we brought our own bikes and have had a great time cycling on quiet roads with not many hills!

This year (the first two weeks in August 2011) was a return to Teresa’s hospitality in Guemene-Penfao. There were a number of places we wanted to revisit as well as explore new ones. The Gite itself was, as before, homely and well equipped, in a lovely location. Brittany’s weather was kind to us as well which helped make this another memorable holiday. Our thanks go to Teresa and Ian and we wish them all the very best.

Would like to thank Ian & Teresa for sharing their Gites with us. Our two weeks went far to quickly!
Wanted for nothing in the Gite, and the garden/play area was fantastic. The play house was beautiful and with-stood our two children’s antics in it!! The beaches at Pornichet and La Boule were lovely and clean with great water sports. The kayak trip down “Le Don” was a brilliant end to our holiday.
Would recommend La Glycine for a relaxing, peaceful (even with children)! holiday.

A huge thankyou to Ian & Teresa for a fantastic weeks stay in Coeur de Chene. A great base for exploring a beautiful untouched region of France but still plenty to do with young children. We enjoyed beautiful weather and found lots of lovely places for cycling, swimming, shopping and of course enjoying amazing french cuisine! We recently spent two enjoyable weeks in Le Camelia. The gite has been restored to a high standard and was well equipped with little touches that made it feel like a real home from home.
Ian and Teresa provided valuable information regarding places to visit and special events that can only be gained by living locally. We particularly enjoyed the medieval festival at Malestroit.
We wish that we could bottle the relaxed feeling that we quickly gained on this holiday. Omgeving, the gite and Ian and Teresa provide everything you could need for a perfect holiday. We will definitely recommend you to friends and family.
